How to Get Straight Teeth: The No-Hassle Way

Improving your smile has never been so simple with this easy method

When people think of braces they automatically imagine their mouth filled with metal, headgear attached and raw, sensitive cheeks from the brackets rubbing against them. Braces don’t have to be that way! Here at Penn Dental Family Practice, your comfort is our priority.

Introducing to you, invisible braces. With invisible braces, we can show you how to get straight teeth the no-hassle way.

How To Get Straight Teeth With Invisible Braces

What are invisible braces?

Invisible braces are a clear set of BPA-free, plastic aligners. These aligners are used in place of metal brackets and wires. Your dentist will create customer aligners fit just for you and only you. Your doctor will give you invisible braces that you will change out every 2 weeks. These trays can be worn all day, and are virtually invisible.

What are the perks of invisible braces?

As mentioned, they are virtually invisible. People will begin to ask you how to get straight teeth without braces, when they see your results.

With invisible braces, you can also eat anything you want without worrying about breaking brackets! When it comes time to eat, you just pop your aligners out, eat, brush your teeth and place them back in again.

You don’t have to worry about brackets cutting up your mouth, especially if you play sports. With these aligners, your mouth will remain safe.

Why is it Important to Have Straight Teeth?

Having straight teeth isn’t just about having a beautiful smile. Straight teeth is about health. According to the American Academy of Periodontology, about half (47%) of all Americans have Periodontal Disease. Periodontal disease is an active bacterial infection in your gums, causing inflammation, redness, swelling and bleeding. Periodontal disease has also been linked to heart disease, diabetes and more.

When your teeth are crooked, you have those areas that help collect food. Sometimes these areas are hard to clean, no matter how much you brush and floss. The longer the food and bacteria stay in that area, the more inflamed it will become. Leftover food and debris cause plaque, which in turn hardens and becomes calculus. That calculus clings to the teeth causing periodontal disease.
