Dr. Hayden Han is an Oral Medicine-trained specialist and Instructor in the Department of Oral Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He provides comprehensive care for patients with oral mucosal disease, orofacial pain, temporomandibular disorders, salivary gland disorders and the oral manifestation of systemic disease. He also enjoys caring for medically complex patients and performing a broad range of general dentistry procedures, including restorative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, and dental extractions.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Michigan Medicine, where he received advanced training in the management of dental emergencies, dentoalveolar trauma, acute odontogenic infections, hospital dentistry, and dental treatments in operating room. He subsequently completed his specialty training in Oral Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and Penn Medicine in 2026 before joining the faculty as a full-time instructor.
As a faculty member, Dr. Han is passionate about educating dental students and residents in both the Oral Medicine Clinic and the Personalized Care Clinic. He also provides comprehensive patient care through Penn Dental Medicine’s Faculty Practice, where he practices both general dentistry and oral medicine.
Outside of dentistry, he enjoys exploring new cities, traveling throughout the United States, discovering local coffee shops, and spending quality time with family and friends.
